How Do We Stop The Violence?

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There is only one way to stop the violence.  We as Christians, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever race or nationality must come together as a body and pray.  We must admit that the divisiveness that has torn apart this country is wrong and must be stopped NOW!  We must begin to treat each other with respect and love.  We must begin to follow Christ’s command to love each other.  Matthew 12:30-31 says to Love the Lord thy God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.

If we would just follow these commandments there would be so much more that we as the body of Christ could do and accomplish.  I am grieved at the division that has been taking over this great country of ours.  It has divided races. It has divided religions.  It has brought anger and despair to many.  We must realize that there is a heart problem and not an authority problem or a race problem.  There is a problem with the value of life and the value of humanity and a value of self.  There are so many people who just don’t care anymore.  We as Christians must come together and begin to work as a body to reach the lost, the hurting, the down trodden, and the masses.  We must repair the breach and bring all peoples from all races and nationalities together for one purpose.  That purpose is to love one another as Christ commanded.

Men of God please help me in this.  We must pray and seek His face and seek His will for His church.  It is going to take courage and boldness to stand against those who would continue to divide.  There will be hardship and there will be opposition but God will prevail as we come together as one body.  Matthew 18:19 says this: "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.  If we band together as one body nothing can stand against us.  Isaiah 54:17 says: No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.  Just think what the body of Christ can accomplish if we put aside our petty differences and become one.  We can take back our country from the grasp of satan himself and send him and his minions running at the name of Jesus!

Please join me in battle.  Put on your armor and make ready for tomorrow we fight.

Get Up and Get Out!

Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners? Mark 2:16.
If you study Jesus' ministry you will see that He did not spend all of His time in the church fellowshipping with other Christians. Jesus spent His time ministering to the tax collectors and sinners. Those who the priests and pharisees thought were unclean or unworthy of their time.
Unfortunately this is where many Christians are today. They go to church on Sunday and they fellowship with those who they deem worthy of their time when in reality it is the tax collectors and sinners that need to hear the good news. Christians today have become so comfortable in their extravagant church buildings, sitting in their comfortable cushioned chairs in the beautifully adorned sanctuaries that they have forgotten the command that Jesus gave us all. Jesus said to "go into all the world and make disciples". The key word here is to "go".
Going means to get up and get out of the church building. It is to make a physical move and get out in to the world where the sick, the sinner, and the hurting live. You will never reach them from inside the church. You must be "the church" and go out and reach them.
With all that is happening in the world right now, Christians MUST begin to go into all the world and spread the gospel to those who need it. Sitting in the pew on Sunday mornings is great for getting fed but it does nothing for the tax collectors and the sinners. Men of God, YOU must go.
Make a commitment today to follow Jesus' example and to eat with tax collectors and sinners. Get up, get out, and make disciples.

Are You Telling Them?

"If Jesus Preached the same message ministers preach today, he would never have been crucified".
-Leonard Ravenhill
How true is this statement? I remember back in the day when preachers stood in the pulpit and told people that sin is sin and didn't sugar coat it. They spoke the truth. Today many will preach a message of blessing and hope, which is good, but never tell the sinners what their fate will be if they don't give their hearts to Christ. I believe that there will be many in hell looking for the preacher that didn't tell them the truth.
Men of God, we must ensure that everyone knows their fate. All you have to do is read Revelations. The fate of all mankind is foretold in that book. Don't you want to know that when the end comes that you fulfilled your mission. The Great Commission! Jesus told us to "go into all the world and make disciples". Are you making disciples or are you receiving your feel good message every week and that's enough for you?
Think about it. Someones eternity may depend on your answer.

Where Are The Sinners?

Jesus said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick". Mat 9:12 (NKJV).
In today's church most Christians think that going to church on Sunday is all that is needed. Spending time in church and fellowshipping with other Christian's is necessary but what happens afterward? My question has always, been are there people coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in your church?
Jesus didn't spend his time in the Synagogue listening to the priests. Jesus spent his time preaching to sinners and teaching his disciples. Yes there will the occasional sinner who gives his life to Christ in a church service but really how often does that happen today? We as Christians must follow Jesus' example. We must go out to where the sinners are and lead them to Him. I call it sidewalk evangelism. Meeting sinners where they are. At work, at the mall, at a restaurant, or on the street.
Why don't we do this anymore? Go door to door and reach out to those who are hurting and inviting people to church. Most people say that they would go to church if someone invited them. If you are sitting in the comfortable pew every Sunday waiting for the sinners to come to you, you may be there for a long time. The church must reach out beyond the four walls of the building and reach out to the people who will spend their eternity in hell if no one leads them to Christ.
Men of God, stand up and take a vow that your ministry will be like Jesus ministry. Out side of the church where the people who need Him are living. Spread the gospel and tell them that there is hope and that Jesus is the only way.

As Iron Sharpens Iron

Proverbs 27:17 tells us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”(NIV).   We as Christian men must follow this Proverb.  There are men in this world that need mentors and Christian examples to emulate.  The standard of this world will not teach or model what a Man of God is today.  Only a Godly Man can do that.  A man that is on fire for Christ, loves his wife and children, and loves God more than anything else in this world.  Those men are few and far between today.  Most men are sperm donors and not fathers.  Most men today are either trying to climb the corporate ladder and neglecting their families or making babies and walking away with no responsibility what so ever.

God needs Men of honor and courage.  Men who will lay down their lives for others and who will take the responsibility of being the priests of their home.  Men who will put on the whole armor of God and go into battle to protect their families from the forces of evil that will come against them.

Men of God, you need to start everyday on your knees.  This is where the battle takes place.  Your prayer life is a major weapon against darkness and spiritual forces.  Bible study is your battle plan for winning against the powers of the air.  You are not fighting against flesh and blood but the powers and principalities of the air.  The sooner you realize that fact the sooner that you can become strong in the Lord.

Are you a warrior for Christ or are you a bench warmer who is allowing others to do battle for you?  Are you that Christian example to your family and to other men?  Think about that.  Are you willing to fight for your family and your faith?  You must decide whom you will serve.  Will it be Christ or will it be satan?  It’s your choice.  Make it today.

We Must Tell Them!

According to Ezekiel 3:16-21 God has commanded us as Christians to tell sinners that sin is sin and that the wages of sin is death.

Ezekiel wrote When I say to a wicked man, You will surely die; and YOU do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold YOU accountable for his blood (NIV).

You see it is our responsibility to tell the sinner that he must repent and God will save him.  If we do not tell him and he dies he will go to hell and his blood will be on your hands.  Ezekiel is very clear on this issue.  We as Christians are commanded to witness to the sinner and to help him to see the error of his ways and repent.

Many Christians and even some pastors today are too shy or don't want to offend anyone.  We should not be afraid to witness to the sinner. If that sinner dies and goes to hell God will hold us as Christians accountable for that man's blood.

Do you want to be a witness for God?  Do you want to see sinners repent?  Then YOU should repent and begin to share the good news or the gospel of Jesus Christ with this world.  Who cares who gets offended?  We are so afraid that we will offend someone that we are allowing sinners to spend eternity in hell.  When we all stand before the judgement throne of God Almighty, He will hold us accountable for the blood of the sinners that we didn't want offend and that are spending eternity in the flames of hell.

Men of God, YOU need to stand up.  Jesus Christ is returning soon.  We do not have much time left to preach the gospel and to make disciples for Christ.  Pray that God would give you the boldness and the confidence to witness to everyone that you see.  You never know if it will be the last time that you ever see them.  Do you want their blood on your hands?

Repent

As I was praying the other night the Lord gave me a word that I feel that I have to share.

Father I pray for America a once proud nation under God.  I fear that You are about to shake us and show us how we have failed You.  Your wrath will burn against us and America will know that You are God.

America come back to God.  Turn from your wickedness that you may be spared the wrath that is to come.  Repent of your sins and beg for God's forgiveness.  He will hear you and hold back His wrath.  America you must repent now or face the mighty anger of God Almighty who has blessed you and prospered you.

The hand of God will be removed and you will no longer be protected.  You have forsaken Israel and God will punish you for doing so.  The Lord says that those who protect Israel will be blessed and those who turn their backs on Israel will be punished.

Turn America!  Repent before the Lord God Almighty!  Repent before it is too late!
