How Do We Stop The Violence?

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There is only one way to stop the violence.  We as Christians, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever race or nationality must come together as a body and pray.  We must admit that the divisiveness that has torn apart this country is wrong and must be stopped NOW!  We must begin to treat each other with respect and love.  We must begin to follow Christ’s command to love each other.  Matthew 12:30-31 says to Love the Lord thy God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.

If we would just follow these commandments there would be so much more that we as the body of Christ could do and accomplish.  I am grieved at the division that has been taking over this great country of ours.  It has divided races. It has divided religions.  It has brought anger and despair to many.  We must realize that there is a heart problem and not an authority problem or a race problem.  There is a problem with the value of life and the value of humanity and a value of self.  There are so many people who just don’t care anymore.  We as Christians must come together and begin to work as a body to reach the lost, the hurting, the down trodden, and the masses.  We must repair the breach and bring all peoples from all races and nationalities together for one purpose.  That purpose is to love one another as Christ commanded.

Men of God please help me in this.  We must pray and seek His face and seek His will for His church.  It is going to take courage and boldness to stand against those who would continue to divide.  There will be hardship and there will be opposition but God will prevail as we come together as one body.  Matthew 18:19 says this: "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.  If we band together as one body nothing can stand against us.  Isaiah 54:17 says: No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.  Just think what the body of Christ can accomplish if we put aside our petty differences and become one.  We can take back our country from the grasp of satan himself and send him and his minions running at the name of Jesus!

Please join me in battle.  Put on your armor and make ready for tomorrow we fight.

Get Up and Get Out!

Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners? Mark 2:16.
If you study Jesus' ministry you will see that He did not spend all of His time in the church fellowshipping with other Christians. Jesus spent His time ministering to the tax collectors and sinners. Those who the priests and pharisees thought were unclean or unworthy of their time.
Unfortunately this is where many Christians are today. They go to church on Sunday and they fellowship with those who they deem worthy of their time when in reality it is the tax collectors and sinners that need to hear the good news. Christians today have become so comfortable in their extravagant church buildings, sitting in their comfortable cushioned chairs in the beautifully adorned sanctuaries that they have forgotten the command that Jesus gave us all. Jesus said to "go into all the world and make disciples". The key word here is to "go".
Going means to get up and get out of the church building. It is to make a physical move and get out in to the world where the sick, the sinner, and the hurting live. You will never reach them from inside the church. You must be "the church" and go out and reach them.
With all that is happening in the world right now, Christians MUST begin to go into all the world and spread the gospel to those who need it. Sitting in the pew on Sunday mornings is great for getting fed but it does nothing for the tax collectors and the sinners. Men of God, YOU must go.
Make a commitment today to follow Jesus' example and to eat with tax collectors and sinners. Get up, get out, and make disciples.

Are You Telling Them?

"If Jesus Preached the same message ministers preach today, he would never have been crucified".
-Leonard Ravenhill
How true is this statement? I remember back in the day when preachers stood in the pulpit and told people that sin is sin and didn't sugar coat it. They spoke the truth. Today many will preach a message of blessing and hope, which is good, but never tell the sinners what their fate will be if they don't give their hearts to Christ. I believe that there will be many in hell looking for the preacher that didn't tell them the truth.
Men of God, we must ensure that everyone knows their fate. All you have to do is read Revelations. The fate of all mankind is foretold in that book. Don't you want to know that when the end comes that you fulfilled your mission. The Great Commission! Jesus told us to "go into all the world and make disciples". Are you making disciples or are you receiving your feel good message every week and that's enough for you?
Think about it. Someones eternity may depend on your answer.

Where Are The Sinners?

Jesus said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick". Mat 9:12 (NKJV).
In today's church most Christians think that going to church on Sunday is all that is needed. Spending time in church and fellowshipping with other Christian's is necessary but what happens afterward? My question has always, been are there people coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in your church?
Jesus didn't spend his time in the Synagogue listening to the priests. Jesus spent his time preaching to sinners and teaching his disciples. Yes there will the occasional sinner who gives his life to Christ in a church service but really how often does that happen today? We as Christians must follow Jesus' example. We must go out to where the sinners are and lead them to Him. I call it sidewalk evangelism. Meeting sinners where they are. At work, at the mall, at a restaurant, or on the street.
Why don't we do this anymore? Go door to door and reach out to those who are hurting and inviting people to church. Most people say that they would go to church if someone invited them. If you are sitting in the comfortable pew every Sunday waiting for the sinners to come to you, you may be there for a long time. The church must reach out beyond the four walls of the building and reach out to the people who will spend their eternity in hell if no one leads them to Christ.
Men of God, stand up and take a vow that your ministry will be like Jesus ministry. Out side of the church where the people who need Him are living. Spread the gospel and tell them that there is hope and that Jesus is the only way.

As Iron Sharpens Iron

Proverbs 27:17 tells us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”(NIV).   We as Christian men must follow this Proverb.  There are men in this world that need mentors and Christian examples to emulate.  The standard of this world will not teach or model what a Man of God is today.  Only a Godly Man can do that.  A man that is on fire for Christ, loves his wife and children, and loves God more than anything else in this world.  Those men are few and far between today.  Most men are sperm donors and not fathers.  Most men today are either trying to climb the corporate ladder and neglecting their families or making babies and walking away with no responsibility what so ever.

God needs Men of honor and courage.  Men who will lay down their lives for others and who will take the responsibility of being the priests of their home.  Men who will put on the whole armor of God and go into battle to protect their families from the forces of evil that will come against them.

Men of God, you need to start everyday on your knees.  This is where the battle takes place.  Your prayer life is a major weapon against darkness and spiritual forces.  Bible study is your battle plan for winning against the powers of the air.  You are not fighting against flesh and blood but the powers and principalities of the air.  The sooner you realize that fact the sooner that you can become strong in the Lord.

Are you a warrior for Christ or are you a bench warmer who is allowing others to do battle for you?  Are you that Christian example to your family and to other men?  Think about that.  Are you willing to fight for your family and your faith?  You must decide whom you will serve.  Will it be Christ or will it be satan?  It’s your choice.  Make it today.

We Must Tell Them!

According to Ezekiel 3:16-21 God has commanded us as Christians to tell sinners that sin is sin and that the wages of sin is death.

Ezekiel wrote When I say to a wicked man, You will surely die; and YOU do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold YOU accountable for his blood (NIV).

You see it is our responsibility to tell the sinner that he must repent and God will save him.  If we do not tell him and he dies he will go to hell and his blood will be on your hands.  Ezekiel is very clear on this issue.  We as Christians are commanded to witness to the sinner and to help him to see the error of his ways and repent.

Many Christians and even some pastors today are too shy or don't want to offend anyone.  We should not be afraid to witness to the sinner. If that sinner dies and goes to hell God will hold us as Christians accountable for that man's blood.

Do you want to be a witness for God?  Do you want to see sinners repent?  Then YOU should repent and begin to share the good news or the gospel of Jesus Christ with this world.  Who cares who gets offended?  We are so afraid that we will offend someone that we are allowing sinners to spend eternity in hell.  When we all stand before the judgement throne of God Almighty, He will hold us accountable for the blood of the sinners that we didn't want offend and that are spending eternity in the flames of hell.

Men of God, YOU need to stand up.  Jesus Christ is returning soon.  We do not have much time left to preach the gospel and to make disciples for Christ.  Pray that God would give you the boldness and the confidence to witness to everyone that you see.  You never know if it will be the last time that you ever see them.  Do you want their blood on your hands?

Repent

As I was praying the other night the Lord gave me a word that I feel that I have to share.

Father I pray for America a once proud nation under God.  I fear that You are about to shake us and show us how we have failed You.  Your wrath will burn against us and America will know that You are God.

America come back to God.  Turn from your wickedness that you may be spared the wrath that is to come.  Repent of your sins and beg for God's forgiveness.  He will hear you and hold back His wrath.  America you must repent now or face the mighty anger of God Almighty who has blessed you and prospered you.

The hand of God will be removed and you will no longer be protected.  You have forsaken Israel and God will punish you for doing so.  The Lord says that those who protect Israel will be blessed and those who turn their backs on Israel will be punished.

Turn America!  Repent before the Lord God Almighty!  Repent before it is too late!

Is Sin Still Sin

I have to ask that question because in our society today sin is no longer considered sin.  People we need to understand that sin is still sin in God's eyes no matter what society says.  Even when culture says that sin is no longer sin, God's law doesn't change.  In the eyes of God culture doesn't matter.  Just because the Supreme Court supports it and government supports it or a group of people support it it doesn't mean that God supports it.  Sin is still sin in the eyes of God and it should still be sin in the eyes of the church.

There are some churches that say that if society allows it then the church should allow it also.  Those who would subscribe to that way of thinking are playing with fire, literally.  Those people will find out some day soon what the fires of hell are like because of their blindness.  We need pastors today who will preach the truth without worrying about who they will offend.  Christians need to offend sinners because it is better that they be offended and hopefully realize the error of their ways so that they will see God in heaven than for them to see satan in hell.

Men of God the flames of hell are real.  And those who believe that society decides what sin is will feel those flames for eternity if they don't change their way of thinking and repent before God almighty.

Help me spread the word.  Forward this to everyone that you know so hopefully someone who needs this will read it.  Heaven is real and hell is hot.  People need to know that.

Hidden Sin

For the Lord would say to you today, Repent of your sins that I may bless you.  You must be clean and righteous in My sight.  You have sinned against me and I will take away my blessings but if you repent I will bless you and protect you.

Hidden sin is like a cancer in the body of the church.  It must be cut out before the blessings of God can be fully realized.  When we as a nation follow cultural beliefs and allow our changes in culture to override God's Holy Word then we as a nation will suffer the consequences.  God's law is always right and cannot be changed by a court.

The Lord has given us a second, a third, and a fourth chance to repent.  He has been patient but His patience will not last much longer.  There will be a reckoning so repent now and see the blessings of our God.  Our nation has become like the Israelites who continuously sinned against God and were allowed to do so many times until God's patience wore thin and he punished Israel.  The United States will be punished unless we repent.

Men of God we also have hidden sin in our lives that has kept God from blessing us individually and using us to do His will.  Repent now and ask God to cleanse you, sanctify you and , set you apart for this world.  We are not of this world and we need to act like it.

Please share this page with others who may need to hear this word.

Live By The Spirit

Galatians 5:16-21
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will mot gratify the desires of the sinful nature.  For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature.  They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.  But if you are led by the Spirit you are not under law.  The acts of the sinful nature are obvious:  sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissections, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.  I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Men of God, we as the priests of our home must be the example to our wives and children of what Paul is talking about here.  We must  live by the Spirit and we must be led by the Spirit.  For this world to know that we are the children of God we must ask the Holy Spirit to take control of our lives and our families lives and we must follow Him.  God wants men who have a heart for Him and who want to walk with Him, talk with Him, commune with Him, and most importantly obey and worship Him.

Do we show God that love Him and worship Him everyday?  I know I don't.  When I write these posts I'm not preaching to you without preaching to myself as well.  I need to be led by the Spirit and submit myself and my will to God on a daily basis.  I have to pray everyday and ask God to forgive em of my sins because I know that I sin daily.  We all do.  We are not perfect.  God knows that and yet He still loves us and blesses us and protects us.  We need to allow the Holy Spirit to take control of our lives and to use us to do the work that God called everyone of us to do.  "Go into all the world and make disciples".  If we allow Him to lead and guide us then we may be able to impact our neighborhood, our city, our country, our state, and also our country for God.  Get down on your knees right now and ask God to forgive you of your sins.  Ask Him to give you a fresh infilling of His Holy Spirit.  Ask Him to use you as a vessel and an instrument to impact your family first and then your neighborhood.

Men of God we have to start now to take back this country from those who would destroy or way of life and take away our religious freedoms.  The first step is to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and for you to respond in obedience.  Pray right now and God will respond.  He is waiting for you to make the first move.  Be a Man on the Move.  He is waiting to hear from you.

Please respond to this post and let me know if you have asked the Holy Spirit to lead you and your family.

Praise God for Chick-Fil-A!!

As I was traveling recently I stopped by a Chick-Fil-A for lunch.  As I sat there I overheard a conversation at the table behind me.  There were two ladies talking and one was ministering to the other.  I thought to myself "Thank God for Chick-Fil-A".  This openly Christian company that has taken so much criticism lately for being a Christian company offers a place where Christians feel comfortable ministering to others.  I think that's awesome but it also made me think that Christians must begin to step out of the boundaries of their comfort zones and minster where Jesus ministered.

Jesus didn't minister very often in the Temple (Church).  He ministered in the fields where the crops were ripe for the harvest.  He went out into the highways and the byways where the sinners were hurting and needed him most.  Jesus took the message of God's love outside of the four walls of the church to the people who needed to hear it.

My Christians today think that if they go to Church each week that the sinners will come to them.  That may happen occasionally but not very often.  The harvest is ripe but its not in the church.  The harvest is in the fields.  The sinners and hurting and the unloved are waiting for someone to give them the message that Jesus loves them no matter what they have done and that they can be forgiven.  That the hole in their lives that they have been trying to fill with sex, drugs, alcohol, or depression can be filled with God.

Men of God are you working in the fields or are you sitting in the pews on Sunday mornings waiting for the harvest to come to you?  Get up and be a Man on the Move and take Jesus into the fields where you can reap harvest.

Luke 10:2  Jesus said "the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field".

America's Crisis of Potholes

Earlier this week as I was getting ready for work, the TV in the hotel breakfast area was on CNN.  The headline for the morning was "America's Crisis of Potholes".  I sat there for a few minutes and watched as this gripping story unfolded.  As I watched I began to think with all that is going on in America and the world today, why are they talking about potholes?  Potholes!  Really?  America is on the brink of destruction and the news media is reporting on "America's Crisis of Potholes"!

The real crisis is the fact that our President is distancing himself from Israel.  We are moving further and further from Israel every day.  The current administration is making friends with Iran and insulting our best friends in the entire world, Israel.  God said to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3 Leave your country and your people.  Leave your father's family.  Go to the land I will show you.  I will make you into a great nation.  I will bless you.  I will make your name great.  You will be a blessing to others.  I will bless those who bless you.  I will put a curse on anyone who calls down a curse on you.  All nations on earth will be blessed because of you (NIV).  This blessing on Israel still exists today.  God will bless those who bless Israel, but God will curse those who curse Israel.  America is nearly to the point where we will be cursed if we continue down the path that we are on.

Men of God wake up, man up, and stand up for what you believe in!  Christian men can no longer sit on the sidelines and watch the destruction of our country, our families, and our morals.  We must get into the fray and make a difference for Christ today.  Men of God you have to make a choice.  You have to decide if you are going to follow the command of God to make disciples or are you going to sit back and wait for the eminent destruction of the only Christian nation on earth?

Paul's Charge to Timothy

In 2 Timothy 4:2-5, Paul gives a charge to Timothy to "preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction".  Paul is telling Timothy to preach the word no matter what the people say or do.  Paul says that there will be a time when people will not put up with sound doctrine.  They will want to surround themselves with preachers who will tell them what they want to hear.  To tickle their ears.  That they will turn away from the truth and listen to myths and lies about what God's word says.

Men of God that time has come.  In our country today there are preachers who are preaching what the people want to hear and not what God wants them to hear.  The truth is lost among the progressive messages that are being preached from the pulpits of our churches right now.  Pastors, ministers, and denominational leaders are allowing things in God's house today that grieve God and break his heart.

The good news is that Paul also told Timothy to keep his head in all situations, endure hardship and to do the work of an evangelist.  He told him to discharge the duties of his ministry.  Men of God, we must do the same.  We must discharge the duties of our ministries.  We must be evangelists and make sure that God's true word is being preached throughout America and the world.  We cannot sit idly by and allow this tickling and itching ear preaching to be spread as the truth in our churches and in our communities today.  We must stand up against the forces of darkness that have blinded the righeous and preach the gospel in season and out of season as Paul instructed.

Men on the Move, are you ready to stand?  Are you ready to preach the truth even if it means your job, your friends, and yes, maybe even your life?  It may come to that in the near future.  If Christ is your Lord and Savior then what do you fear?  If you only reach one person, it will be worth it.  We must be that voice crying out in the wilderness.  We cannot allow the light of Christ to be extinguished.  We must be light in the darkness of lies.  We must pray for revival in the hearts and minds of God's people.

Christ is commanding you to stand for Him.  He is asking you to speak the truth and be a Man on the Move.  Are you ready?

Spiritual Famine

I had a conversation with a friend this week and we were discussing the "Good ole days" of the Pentecostal Church.  You know the days when Pastors preached the truth no matter who's toes they stepped on and there were alter calls after every sermon.  The men of God would lay hands on the people and pray for them and the Holy Spirit would fall.  The services would last until God was done and only when God was done.  No one was concerned about who saw them cry and seek the face of God.  There were no time limits and people were being saved, healed, delivered, and filled with the Holy Spirit.

You know those days seem so far away.  America is living in Spiritual Famine.  I believe that God may be slowly taking His hand of protection away from this country because America has forsaken Him.  The seeds of complacency are being sown and we are now reaping that harvest.  It's as if the Holy Spirit is no longer with us.  It's is literally a spiritual famine.

We need to remember the past when the Holy Spirit was in control of our churches and when we sought after the things of God and not of the world.  Christians of today are more concerned about material things and not what God's will is for their lives.  People, we need to remember the "good ole days" and bring God back into our lives first and then back into our churches.  Quenching the Holy Spirit is wrong and can only lead to destruction.  The men of God must get out of the way and let the Holy Spirit do the work.  Allow God to pour out His spirit on all people and begin to move in the spirit again.  Allow our sons and our daughters to prophesy, our young men to see visions and our old mean to dream dreams as the Bible says in Joel 2:28 (NIV).  America must come back to God.  We must stop the genocide of millions of unborn children and the degradation of the American family.

Men of God, are you willing to remember?  Are you willing to cry out God for revival in the land?  Ask God to for his spiritual rain to fall upon us and end this spiritual famine.  We need to see miracles again and we need a mighty move of the Holy Spirit.  Will you pray and ask God to move?

End of Days

I recently watched the History Channel's presentation of "Revelation: The End of Days".  If you haven't seen it is it is worth the time.  Of course there is some "poetic license" taken but it got me to thinking about the end times and where we are in the timeline.  If you read Revelation and study the timeline of the end times, we are so close to the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The issue that I see is that most of the preachers and pastors in America today are not preaching about what is to come.  People, the rapture is upon us and our Shepherds aren't even talking about it.  Why is this?  Why are the men of God who are charged with taking care of the flock not talking about the most important event in human history?

It seems to me that there are many men of the cloth that are more interested in growing their churches than they are in saving souls.  Revelation talks about being luke-warm and preachers tickling ears instead of preaching the truth.  Men of God we need to hear the truth.  The men of America need to stand up and yell from the mountain tops that sin is sin and that if the people don't give their heart to God they will spend eternity in the lake of fire.

Men on the Move, we need a revival in America today.  We need men of God that aren't afraid to say what they believe and to take a stand that's not going to be popular.  We need men to take the lead in spreading the gospel and making disciples just as Jesus commanded us to do.

Are you willing?  Let me know what you think.  Comment on this post and let's start a dialogue on the subject.  Let me know if you are willing to be God's messenger in these last days.  I look forward to hearing from you.
