I had a conversation with a friend this week and we were discussing the "Good ole days" of the Pentecostal Church. You know the days when Pastors preached the truth no matter who's toes they stepped on and there were alter calls after every sermon. The men of God would lay hands on the people and pray for them and the Holy Spirit would fall. The services would last until God was done and only when God was done. No one was concerned about who saw them cry and seek the face of God. There were no time limits and people were being saved, healed, delivered, and filled with the Holy Spirit.
You know those days seem so far away. America is living in Spiritual Famine. I believe that God may be slowly taking His hand of protection away from this country because America has forsaken Him. The seeds of complacency are being sown and we are now reaping that harvest. It's as if the Holy Spirit is no longer with us. It's is literally a spiritual famine.
We need to remember the past when the Holy Spirit was in control of our churches and when we sought after the things of God and not of the world. Christians of today are more concerned about material things and not what God's will is for their lives. People, we need to remember the "good ole days" and bring God back into our lives first and then back into our churches. Quenching the Holy Spirit is wrong and can only lead to destruction. The men of God must get out of the way and let the Holy Spirit do the work. Allow God to pour out His spirit on all people and begin to move in the spirit again. Allow our sons and our daughters to prophesy, our young men to see visions and our old mean to dream dreams as the Bible says in Joel 2:28 (NIV). America must come back to God. We must stop the genocide of millions of unborn children and the degradation of the American family.
Men of God, are you willing to remember? Are you willing to cry out God for revival in the land? Ask God to for his spiritual rain to fall upon us and end this spiritual famine. We need to see miracles again and we need a mighty move of the Holy Spirit. Will you pray and ask God to move?

End of Days
I recently watched the History Channel's presentation of "Revelation: The End of Days". If you haven't seen it is it is worth the time. Of course there is some "poetic license" taken but it got me to thinking about the end times and where we are in the timeline. If you read Revelation and study the timeline of the end times, we are so close to the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The issue that I see is that most of the preachers and pastors in America today are not preaching about what is to come. People, the rapture is upon us and our Shepherds aren't even talking about it. Why is this? Why are the men of God who are charged with taking care of the flock not talking about the most important event in human history?
It seems to me that there are many men of the cloth that are more interested in growing their churches than they are in saving souls. Revelation talks about being luke-warm and preachers tickling ears instead of preaching the truth. Men of God we need to hear the truth. The men of America need to stand up and yell from the mountain tops that sin is sin and that if the people don't give their heart to God they will spend eternity in the lake of fire.
Men on the Move, we need a revival in America today. We need men of God that aren't afraid to say what they believe and to take a stand that's not going to be popular. We need men to take the lead in spreading the gospel and making disciples just as Jesus commanded us to do.
Are you willing? Let me know what you think. Comment on this post and let's start a dialogue on the subject. Let me know if you are willing to be God's messenger in these last days. I look forward to hearing from you.
