How Do We Stop The Violence?

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There is only one way to stop the violence.  We as Christians, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever race or nationality must come together as a body and pray.  We must admit that the divisiveness that has torn apart this country is wrong and must be stopped NOW!  We must begin to treat each other with respect and love.  We must begin to follow Christ’s command to love each other.  Matthew 12:30-31 says to Love the Lord thy God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.  The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these.

If we would just follow these commandments there would be so much more that we as the body of Christ could do and accomplish.  I am grieved at the division that has been taking over this great country of ours.  It has divided races. It has divided religions.  It has brought anger and despair to many.  We must realize that there is a heart problem and not an authority problem or a race problem.  There is a problem with the value of life and the value of humanity and a value of self.  There are so many people who just don’t care anymore.  We as Christians must come together and begin to work as a body to reach the lost, the hurting, the down trodden, and the masses.  We must repair the breach and bring all peoples from all races and nationalities together for one purpose.  That purpose is to love one another as Christ commanded.

Men of God please help me in this.  We must pray and seek His face and seek His will for His church.  It is going to take courage and boldness to stand against those who would continue to divide.  There will be hardship and there will be opposition but God will prevail as we come together as one body.  Matthew 18:19 says this: "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.  If we band together as one body nothing can stand against us.  Isaiah 54:17 says: No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.  Just think what the body of Christ can accomplish if we put aside our petty differences and become one.  We can take back our country from the grasp of satan himself and send him and his minions running at the name of Jesus!

Please join me in battle.  Put on your armor and make ready for tomorrow we fight.

Get Up and Get Out!

Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners? Mark 2:16.
If you study Jesus' ministry you will see that He did not spend all of His time in the church fellowshipping with other Christians. Jesus spent His time ministering to the tax collectors and sinners. Those who the priests and pharisees thought were unclean or unworthy of their time.
Unfortunately this is where many Christians are today. They go to church on Sunday and they fellowship with those who they deem worthy of their time when in reality it is the tax collectors and sinners that need to hear the good news. Christians today have become so comfortable in their extravagant church buildings, sitting in their comfortable cushioned chairs in the beautifully adorned sanctuaries that they have forgotten the command that Jesus gave us all. Jesus said to "go into all the world and make disciples". The key word here is to "go".
Going means to get up and get out of the church building. It is to make a physical move and get out in to the world where the sick, the sinner, and the hurting live. You will never reach them from inside the church. You must be "the church" and go out and reach them.
With all that is happening in the world right now, Christians MUST begin to go into all the world and spread the gospel to those who need it. Sitting in the pew on Sunday mornings is great for getting fed but it does nothing for the tax collectors and the sinners. Men of God, YOU must go.
Make a commitment today to follow Jesus' example and to eat with tax collectors and sinners. Get up, get out, and make disciples.

Are You Telling Them?

"If Jesus Preached the same message ministers preach today, he would never have been crucified".
-Leonard Ravenhill
How true is this statement? I remember back in the day when preachers stood in the pulpit and told people that sin is sin and didn't sugar coat it. They spoke the truth. Today many will preach a message of blessing and hope, which is good, but never tell the sinners what their fate will be if they don't give their hearts to Christ. I believe that there will be many in hell looking for the preacher that didn't tell them the truth.
Men of God, we must ensure that everyone knows their fate. All you have to do is read Revelations. The fate of all mankind is foretold in that book. Don't you want to know that when the end comes that you fulfilled your mission. The Great Commission! Jesus told us to "go into all the world and make disciples". Are you making disciples or are you receiving your feel good message every week and that's enough for you?
Think about it. Someones eternity may depend on your answer.
